Northkind Press is a small, independent publishing house based in the North of the UK (or as we would say "up North"). We are publish stories with heart, meaning, a little bit of humour, and a dollop of Northern Grit for good measure. Our first children's picture book,The Haunting That Helped, is a funny, gentle ghost story about mischief, belonging, and two little characters who discover they can make a big difference.

About us

Northkind Story Studio Launch

Story Studio is the part of Northkind that supports the brave. People who want to write, but have no idea where to start. People who know where to start but can't make themselves put pen to paper. People who write regularly but can't seem to finish anything...

Story Studio will be offering all sorts of creative writing products, and we are so excited at what we are creating behind the scenes, we just couldn't wait to share a little sneak peek! The first product we will be launching is a creative writing subscription; jam-packed with value and bursting at the seams with inspiration...AND to celebrate the launch of Northkind Story Studio, we are running a competition to win a spot! Because of the value you will get over the 12-months, and the time investment we will make to everyone taking part, it is likely that there will be limited spaces.
