Story Studio is the new creative writing and support arm of Northkind Press Ltd. There are so many people that we speak to who want to get their stories out into the world, but just have no idea where to start. Our new subscription, coming soon, will help with that.

Story studio is for writers, almost-writers, want-to-but-can’t-find-the-time-ers, children, teenagers, adults, daydreamers, overthinkers, underthinkers, notebook-hoarders, and anyone who wants to use their imagination, play with words, shape ideas and, create.

At Northkind, we believe stories matter because they help us make sense of things. They help us remember, imagine, and say what we mean when ordinary words are not quite enough.

Stories start in all sorts of places - as a character, a memory, a place, a feeling, a question, or one sentence that will not leave you alone.

Story Studio was created for those ideas.

The Story Studio 12-month writing subscription (coming soon) is not about rushing towards a perfect manuscript. There are plenty of courses and offers out there if that is what you want.

This new subscription (name TBC, ideas on a postcard) is about giving your idea time, shape, and attention.

You might want to write a children’s book, a memoir, a novel, a family story, a poem, or something you cannot quite name yet. You might have no attachment to the finished product at all.

You don't need to think of yourself a writer.

You don't need to have it all worked out.

You just need the spark of an idea, and a willingness to spend time with it.

Creating feels good.
